Bologna Modulare (BoMo) is an informal, distributed hub across Emilia-Romagna for electronic musicians exploring modular synthesizer systems. Born in early 2021, the collective is non-hierarchical and genre-agnostic: ambient, drone, industrial noise, techno, and experimental soundscapes coexist, unified by the instrument itself — the modular system as an activator of experiences rather than a stylistic boundary.
I am part of the collective, performing with my modular setup and taking part in its activities across the region.
The collective’s core purpose is creating opportunities for real-life encounters between practitioners: meetups, listening sessions, and live performances at venues and festivals including Làbas (Bologna), perAspera Festival, and MENT Festival (Ljubljana).
